Scheduling a Tour
Reservations are required for school field trips. The person requesting the field trip will be responsible for completing the reservation, arranging payment, and sharing the confirmation with all visiting teachers. We will need to following information to complete your reservation:
- Requested field trip date
- School Name
- Students grade level(s)
- Contact information for field trip planner
- Number of students
- Program selections
Fees
We welcome schools with an admission fee of $1 per student. There is no charge for teachers or chaperones. Admission fees may be paid by check made out to Tulare County Museum or cash upon arrival. An invoice will be emailed at the time your reservation is made.
If you schedule your trip on a Friday, the park does charge an entrance fee of $6 per car that will apply to any parents driving separately from the bus.
Chaperone Policy
It is recommended to have one chaperone for every 5-10 students based on the students' needs. Chaperones should model the behavior expected of the students by:
- Being attentive and respectful of all speakers/presenters
- Monitor behavior at all times
- Assist in enforcing the Tulare County Museum rules (No running, use inside voices, hands to yourself, and stay in groups assigned by the teacher)
Priority seating is reserved for our students in our theater, therefore some chaperones may not be admitted into the theater so we comply with safety procedures.
